Paul and Danielle Pitcher from The Woodhouse dropped in the school to teach students how to make pizza.
Teacher Damian Cairns said students had been learning about physical and chemical change, and the cook up was a chance to put the theories to the test.
"We had a pizza oven installed about three years ago and have been waiting to learn how to use it," he said.
"The dough was pre-made but the students got to roll it out and put on the toppings."
Jayden Kent, 7, said making the dough was a chemically reaction because it could not be changed back.
He said a physically reaction included cutting down a tree.
He said science was his favourite subject at school.
"You can really do some fun stuff," he said.
Mr Cairns said the lesson was also about getting parents to teach a skill in the classroom.
He said Mr and Mrs Pitcher's sons Harry and Ethan were enrolled at the school.
"It's about getting parents into the classroom and building our relationship with them," he said.
The students also got to go on a trip to Science Works in Melbourne.
