Power has been restored to customers in Bendigo. Bendigo traffic lights are back up and running.

UPDATE 8.19AM:
BENDIGO only received less than a millimetre of rain overnight but can expect rain later this afternoon.
Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Richard Carlyon said there had been lots of lightning and thunder activity.
"Not much rain has hit the ground yet. It has mainly been widespread lightning strikes. As the day wears on we are likely to see more significant rainfall mid to late afternoon," he said.

Traffic lights are back on at the intersection of Barnard Street and View Street.
Lights out also out at Barnard Street and Wattle Street, Bendigo.
UPDATE 7.45AM:
Customers affected by power outages in Golden Square has risen to 2358.
Powercor expects the power to be returned by 8.30am.

WELCOME to your Monday morning Bendigo! How was your weekend? Relaxing?
The region is waking to the sound of thunder this morning and overcast skies. The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting a top of 28 degrees with morning showers and clearing into the afternoon.
Power is out at traffic lights at the intersections of Pall Mall and Mitchell Street, Barnard Street and View Street in Bendigo, and MacKenzie Street and Symonds Street in Golden Square.
Bendigo Police Sergeant Jason Hawke said members were on scene of the intersection outages.
"We need drivers to be cautious," Sergeant Hawke said.
More than 1200 customers have been affected by power outages in Golden Square, according to Powercor's website. More than 100 customers in Bendigo are also affected.
