The Hawks on Friday officially announced eight new recruits for 2015.
The list features four who have previously played at Eaglehawk, and four who will be pulling on the famous Two Blues jumper for the first time.
Among the first-time players at Eaglehawk will be Chris Hudson and Nathan O’Brien, who have each played in four Heathcote District Football League flags with Lockington-Bamawm United.
Both also have VFL experience with Werribee.
“Nathan is a premiership captain at LBU and his leadership and supreme skills will be an asset to our midfield and backline,” Hawks coach Luke Monaghan said on Friday.
“Chris is a key big man who brings with him the versatility to play anywhere from full-forward to ruck.”
Also joining the Hawks is former Kyabram and Tongala defender Ben Holman.
And Cam Moore, who played with North Bendigo this year and also has experience with Kerang and North City, will add more midfield depth to the Hawks, who lost to Golden Square in the 2014 elimination final.
Of the four players returning to Eaglehawk, three played at Mount Pleasant this year.
Defender Tim Hill, classy half-forward/midfielder Jarrod Findlay and full-forward Matt Gretgrix are all playing at Eaglehawk again after a stint at Toolleen.
Hill - who was captain of the HDFL inter-league side this year - will also be an assistant coach at the Hawks, along with the retired Damien Lock.
And Eaglehawk also has the skilful Cameron Milward back after recent seasons playing at Koondrook-Barham and Boort.
Milward, Hill and Gretgrix - who has kicked 474 goals in his previous seven seasons with the Hawks - are all Eaglehawk premiership players.
