Moloney is the fourth quarterly winner of the long-running awards, which are backed by Coca-Cola and Bendigo Bank.
The awards presentation is at the BSA's Christmas function on Wednesday, November 26 at Kangaroo Flat Sports Club.
Superb swims by Moloney from Bendigo Hawks at Victoria's short-course titles in September caught the attention of the awards judging panel.
Moloney, 13, broke five district records and now holds 15 district short-course records and many club records.
He broke the Victorian age short-course record for 50m freestyle and finished the meet with silver in the 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle, and bronze from the 100m medley and 100m breast-stroke finals.
In national rankings, Moloney is fourth in 50m freestyle, fifth at 100m medley, and sixth in 100m freestyle.
By being a quarterly winner, Moloney receives $300 and a trophy.
The Junior Sports Star of the Year finalists are diver Abby Rowley, baseballer Lachlan Jack, tennis ace Isaac Watson, and swimmer Callum Moloney.
Family and friends of the finalists are invited to the awards presentation.
Tickets are $35 each and available by contacting any of the finalists.
