The American import inked the deal with the Braves on Wednesday, signing on with the Bendigo team after a standout season with Dandenong.
Lewis averaged 22.8 points and 11.9 rebounds per game for the Rangers.
“I’m excited to be in the SEABL for another season and am looking forward to meeting my new team-mates and the Bendigo basketball community,” he said.
Braves head coach Ben Harvey said when he heard the Chicago native was on the market, it was his priority to get him to the Braves.
"There was about four or five clubs looking at him, so it is really exciting to see him sign with Bendigo," he said.
"Hopefully, he can deliver the same results in Bendigo."
Harvey hoped Lewis' strong work ethic and determined attitude would rub off on the team.
"He can shoot from inside and outside, he is an extremely tough player that is hard to match-up against," Harvey said.
"We didn't have that physical presence on the court last season and Lewis is someone that can bring that to the team."
Earlier this week the Braves also re-signed Michael Vigor for another year.
For the first time in 10 years the Braves didn't reach the play-offs this season.
"We failed this year," Harvey said.
"Hopefully Lewis and Vigor and the recruitment of some more players will help put us back to where we need to be."
