Bridegroom: Craig Pearce
Wedding: September 13, 2014
The meeting
We met when were in year 8 at Kangaroo Flat Secondary College. We were close friends and after high school was over we decided to go on a date and that’s how it all started.
The proposal
Craig proposed on December 27, three years ago, at the top of the poppet head in Rosalind Park.
The wedding day
After a week of rain it turned out to be the perfect day for our wedding. We got married on our fifth year anniversary at Langley Hall.
Craig was supported by his best friend Clinton Lawson, team-mate and friend John Howarth and his older brother Jason Pearce, and I had my little sister Kirsty Gray, and my twin best friends Melissa and Tiffany Bull. Our flower girl Hannah Jordan and page boy Zac Lawson made up the rest of the wedding party. They all did an amazing job at being part of our special day.
We had the Marist Brothers Brass Band play A Thousand Years by Christina Perri, while I walked down the aisle. The ceremony was performed by Kerrie Grossman.
Our ceremony was all about family. We had a candle ceremony that represented bringing two families into one. Every one of our family members played a part in our ceremony and had a moment of silence for my mum and our grandparents who are no longer with us. It was the perfect ceremony.
The reception was at the Quality Resort All Seasons. Tracey and her team did a beautiful job and the food was amazing. Our table centerpieces were done by the beautiful Tracey Clark and were all fresh Singapore orchids and twisted willow – they were absolutely stunning. Our guests loved our handmade candles they received as our favours and all the other handmade decorations.
With more than 70 of our closest friends and family, the day could not have gone any better.
The dress
My dress is an A-line Peter Trends design that was purchased from The Bendigo Bridal Collections.
The cake
Craig’s mum made our cake. It was a three-tier chocolate mud cake at the bottom, then butter cake in the middle and the top cake was red velvet with vanilla icing.
The photographer
Our photographer was Jordan from Jordan of Melbourne.
The honeymoon
We spent the following two-and-a-half weeks in Fiji and Hawaii. Both places were absolutely beautiful and I would highly recommend them to everyone. I also couldn’t thank Cassandra from Flight Centre enough for organising the whole trip.
