More than 3300 people of all ages took part in the Bendigo Bank Fun Run on Sunday.
The event has grown in popularity since last year's registrations total of 2991 participants.
Event organiser Kiri Earl said she was ecstatic the event was so successful.
She said 100 per cent of funds raised would go to the hospital's renal dialysis unit.
She said more than $120,000 had been calculated so far with final calculations to be completed at the end of the week.
"It is so nice to see so many happy faces," she said.
"The success of this event means so much for the hospital.
"We want to try and provide more equipment for when patients come in for hemodialysis.
"We want to ensure they are comfortable, there are enough chairs and there is new technology that expands the opportunity for patients undergoing hemodialysis.
"The event also promotes good health and fitness."
She said for a lot of people this was a huge achievement after weeks of preparation and training.
13-year-old Archie Reid came first in his age group for the 10km run.
"It was a really hard race," he said.
Archie has dreams of one day becoming an athlete competing internationally.
He travelled from Echuca with his father Anthony.
"It's quite amazing what he does for his age," Mr Reid said.
Archie plans to join the Bendigo Athletics club to continue his passion for running.
Experienced runner and Gisborne local Kay Millington started running eight years ago.
She said the race "went beautifully" for her.
"I didn't push myself as much as I could have," she said.
"It was wonderful though."

"Super heroes don't always win but they get involved.
"It is a fun run after all.
"The kids really loved running with a super hero, too."
Many volunteers and committed event staff united to make the fundraising event a success.
Event volunteer Jacqui Trimby gave her time to hand out juice and milk to the runners after the race.
"Telstra business centre Bendigo loves to support the Bendigo Health foundation," she said.
"It's a great to be involved with."
Bendigo athlete Jason Sim said the day was all about getting the community together.
"Doing other races are great but it is not quite the same as this," he said.

"In this race you are able to see where the money goes."

Mr Mead said both of the groups competitors had performed well and to the best of their capability.
