For too long European Australians have delighted in the destruction of this land's wildlife as if, bizarrely, destroying indigenous Australia was evidence of Australian-ness.
Well, after much that is regrettable and a lot that is simply damnable it is probably time to say, clearly, that if you don't love Australian wildlife and would rather harm it than protect it, then yes, leave, because you no longer, if you ever did, belong to Team Australia.
