Like for example natural and human-made disasters, diseases, global warming, pollution, terrorism, riots, revolutions, wars and so on.
Yet some politicians are behaving like little children.
Freedom of speech and academic discussion are the basic principles of democracy.
But childish quibbling and name-calling are not making any positive contributions to the debate.
Some politicians have very little real experience and are using politics to fulfil their ambitions.
We have seen that often in recent times.
When their political careers are over, they become impartial and take up cosy international posts.
We have to adopt a more mature and united approach to overcome the problems we are confronted with.
