We had a chance to win $10,000 to go towards our centre through the community voting for our project.
We were competing against Melbourne metro projects in our section and I'm happy to say we placed second.
Some people were a little disappointed that we didn't come first and "lost out" on the prize money, but the competition selects the top two voted projects in each category to win the $10,000.
So even though we didn't place first, we still won!
I wish to thank the entire community for getting behind us and helping us to secure these funds.
We now have the money to purchase all of the books required for our centre's sensory library, a reading nook for the library as well, a jumping castle (not just for kids, you know), green Lego plates for our Lego room walls so that kids can build wall art, and computers for our computer club.
A huge thank you to the Bank of Melbourne, especially Wendy, Brody and the team at Bendigo Marketplace who never doubted us and assisted us with the marketing and voting process.
