With such a short turnaround ahead of the clash with the Rangers, recovery has been the focus for the Spirit since last Saturday and Sunday's games in which Bendigo beat Canberra by seven points and Melbourne by nine.
Last weekend's back-to-back games, coupled with only having three days off between the next match, has veteran Kristi Harrower in some doubt of taking her place in the Spirit team on Thursday night.
"We've obviously had a shorter preparation time for this game," Spirit coach Bernie Harrower said on Wednesday.
"This early in the season we're working on trying to get in sync offensively, get our shooting to where we want it and run our sets at a tempo that really suits our group.
"We made some inroads into that area last weekend, but we've got to keep plugging away and getting better."
While the Spirit won their two games last weekend, the Rangers are coming off back-to-back defeats.
"Dandenong has a good group and will be smarting from last weekend," Harrower said.
"We certainly won't be taking them lightly. We expect them to be thereabouts at the end of the season, so it's important to get an early win against them."
Bendigo has won its past 10 games against Dandenong by an average of 11 points and overall, holds a 19-4 head-to-head record.
Thursday night's game at the Bendigo Stadium tips off at 7.30pm.
