Bendigo Highway Patrol's Sergeant Geoff Annand said he was frustrated after police nabbed several drink and drug drivers at the weekend as part of TAC-funded operation Oasis. 

Sergeant Annand said police intercepted an Ironbark man in Don Street about 10pm on Friday. 

The 61-year-old recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.15 and had his license suspended immediately.

The man will appear in the Bendigo Magistrates' Court at a later date. 

A second drink-driver, who was pulled over about 1am on Saturday, blew a blood alcohol reading of 0.122. 

The Bendigo man, 20, who was wanted in relation to other outstanding matters, was bailed and will appear in the Bendigo Magistrates' Court on December 18. 

A White Hills man tested positive to methamphetamines after police intercepted him in Fenton Street, in North Bendigo about 8pm on Saturday. 

Sergeant Annand said the 22-year-old also failed to have an interlock device fitted to his vehicle. 

A Spring Gully man will be charged on summons for three offenses after he lead police on a small pursuit in Bendigo in the early hours of Sunday morning. 

The 41-year-old was clocked travelling at 96 km/h in a 60 km/h zone. 

The pursuit started in Williamson Street and ended in Nish Street about 2.45am. 

The man returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.163 and his vehicle was immediately impounded by police.

A Moama man will be suspended from driving after he tested positive to methamphetamine.

The 19-year-old was pulled over on the Northern Highway at Strathallan at the weekend. 

"Three out of the four drink-drivers were well over the limits which is quite surprising because that's not just a small mistake," he said. 

"We are hoping people wake up and realise it's not okay to drink and drive."
