About 200 people are making their way down High Street towards Sacred Heart Cathedral where they will have a mass.
The worshippers have been walking for three days, having started at a cathedral in Ballarat.
Father Damonn Sypher from Sydney said the event was in its 24th year and was always well attended by young people.
He said numbers were down this year, from previous years when worshippers numbered 400.
