He grew up in Arthur's Creek, where he joined the brigade along with his mother and father.
For about 15 years he volunteered in the area before moving to Bendigo and joining the Golden Square Fire Brigade some eight years ago.
"It's what you did. Mum and dad were involved. I like the team work and community side of it," Mr Corr said.
"I enjoy supporting and helping the community. It's a really rewarding role as well.
"And I have made some really good friends, the people are great."
Mr Corr is the brigade's communication officer, a role which involves co-ordinating communication between appliances when out on the job.
He said the brigade includes 35 active firefighters, with 75 members in total.
Mr Corr helped organise the Golden Square Fire Brigade monster garage sale at the weekend, with raised money for the brigade.
As well as his firefighting, Mr Corr is also a member of the Bendigo Sustainability Group and on the committee of the Bendigo Community Farmers' Market.
