The Australian netballers, made its 400th international test, won they will remember, winning by seven goals at the AIS Arena in Canberra.
The win was the Diamonds' 13th of the year.
It is the most wins Australia has achieved in a year since winning 14 Tests back in 1999.
Diamonds coach Lisa Alexander stuck with the same starting combination from the Bendigo Test and in similar first quarters, the Australians managed to score a quarter time lead.
The Diamonds extended its lead out to 10 goals in the second quarter however England managed to peg back the score.
Kerang's Julie Corletto played the first half in the goal defence position, before making way for Clare McNeniman who made her international debut.
Bendigo's Caitlin Thwaites played a small role in the third quarter after sharp shooter Caitlin Bassett had a break on the bench after an injury timeout.
Thwaites shot three goals from six attempts.
While the change sparked an Australian revival, it was England who went into the final quarter with the momentum after scoring the last three goals.
The Diamonds got off to a quick start, captialising on their opponents errors.
The final score was 54 to 47.
It has been a memorable year for the Diamonds, the team also won the gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in Glassgow earlier this year.
