That will be the main focus of a wellbeing day today, which will involve about 150 Bendigo police members.
Senior Sergeant John Dalton said members would participate in a group blood donation and health checks.
He said they would walk with students to school and spend time in the station's gym.
"It's about promoting fitness and health among our members," he said.
"A healthy body leads to a healthy mind leads to a healthy workplace.
"I think it's really important to promote fitness and health and that will be our main aim (at the wellbeing day)."
Senior Sergeant Dalton said police would increase foot and bike patrols today.
"We will be out and about," Senior Sergeant Dalton said.
"We will still be responding to policing needs."
Senior Sergeant Dalton said this is the first time police had participated in a wellbeing day and he hoped to make it an annual event.
