The 15-year-old impressed selectors with bat and ball during the recent Country v Metro series and learned this week she had made the 13-member squad for January's national titles in Ballarat.
Vlaeminck plays domestic cricket in Bendigo for Strathdale-Maristians in the under-16A competition and also lines up on occasions for Plenty Valley in the Victorian Women's Cricket Association.
She was one of six girls from last season's under-15 Victorian team to be elevated to the 2015 under-18 squad.
"I didn't think I would get in," the Catholic College year 10 student said, adding she expected it to be another good learning experience.
"Being part of the pathways program, I have had a lot of quality coaches teaching me new things and helping me improve my cricket - how to face good bowlers and how to bowl to really good batters.
"I've worked on my batting technique, learning where to look to hit runs."
Victoria aims to go one better than last season, when they finished runner-up to New South Wales.
Vlaeminck is joined in the team by Katandra all-rounder Hope Irvine, while Baringhup's Kate Kile was named in an under-18 development squad.
A recipient of the Maxine Crouch Trust Fund this year, she will train twice a week with the state squad in the lead up to the national carnival from January 14-20.
