William Atkinson and brothers James and Keith Carey appeared at Bendigo Magistrates Court on Wednesday for a committal hearing.
It is alleged the trio entered a home on the afternoon of March 13, to claim $40 an occupant owed Atkinson.
Court documents allege James Carey, 35, assaulted an 18-year-old man and threatened him with a machete and sword found at the home.
It is believed James and Atkinson then kicked down a bedroom door and found a man with two teenage girls who were cowering against the wall. Police allege while James pointed the machete towards the man's face and Atkinson demanded the money, Keith, 30, entered the room wielding a knife.
After the man handed over $150 and the men left the room, it is alleged Atkinson punched the 18-year-old, knocked him to the ground and held his head while Keith struck him with a beer bottle.
At the start of Wednesday's hearing, Atkinson's lawyer told the court his client would plead guilty to armed robbery, recklessly causing injury, theft and two charges of making threats to kill. The plea was adjourned to the County Court.
The brothers' committal then proceeded, hearing evidence from the 18-year-old man and one of the teenage girls.
The pair are each facing the same charges as Atkinson, as well as counts of aggravated burglary, intentionally causing injury and two charges of unlawful assault.
The court heard the witnesses had been smoking cannabis at the house - which was known as a drug spot - for several days and were considerably drug-affected at the time of the incident.
The teenager gave police a description of the men but admitted she had tried not to look at them to protect herself. The hearing continues.
