Mr Wiseman is a member of the Liberal Party.
I do not have any political affiliation or membership and I am able to express my opinion without being identified with a political party.
Mr Wiseman conveniently makes no comment regarding the Napthine Government’s allocation of only four per cent of the total state budget for 2014 to 2015 to regional, rural and country Victoria.
Mr Wiseman lays claim that the hospital construction, the towering fly tower ambulance and police station and new school at Castlemaine are Napthine government initiatives.
For a man who states he prides himself on the facts, he certainly has delusions of grandeur, when it was the previous state government that initiated these developments.
The trains on the Bendigo line are still, running late because of the infinite wisdom of the Napthine government in removing the passing loops on the Regional Rail Link, which is causing the Bendigo trains to be still caught behind suburban trains from Sunbury to Sunshine.
The Napthine government then postulated itself by stating the Regional Rail Link is open and on time and under budget – but at the expense of country commuters.
The airport rail line although very much needed and should have been included in the airport’s construction.
The Napthine government’s election policy was a knee jerk reaction to the government being perceived by the electorate as not supporting public transport with its main focus and obsession on the East West Truck Link.
The Airport rail line has come under fire and criticism for misleading information regarding the construction timeline of the rail line and the times and frequency of the services to the airport.
The extravagant $1 billion claim for the Bendigo to Geelong rail line is nothing but a distortion of the fact by Mr Wiseman, the independent engineer’s report puts the cost at $300 million a fact missing in Mr Wiseman’s letter.
I am sure that the $340 million given by the Napthine Government to Lindsay Fox‘s Avalon Airport, could have been better spent for the benefit of Victorians than for a Sorrento Billionaire.
But we’ll hear no word about this from the factual Mr Wiseman.
