THE clinking of wine glasses was a common sound in the city at the weekend, with Bendigo Wealth Heritage Uncorked attracting strong attendance.
Patrons strolled from iconic heritage venue to the next, sipping on the region's best wines while lapping up the blue skies and sunshine.
Friends Katie Canterford, Zoe McCormack and Julie Martin said the festival was a great way to taste the best wines in the region and to visit places Bendigonians had not necessarily seen.
"We are having a good time. It seems a bit quieter than usual," Ms Martin said.
"It's nice for winemakers to showcase what they have to offer," Ms McCormack said.
Another patron, who had been attending for years, said she was having a lovely time.
Event venues included the Chinese Gardens, Bendigo Town Hall, bars and restaurants along Pall Mall, The Capital and the Conservatory gardens.
