Lingard attended the school when it was Flora Hill.
He took part in The Voice Australia reality television show earlier this year, earning a devoted crowd of loyal fans.
He will perform with Josh Deraugo at the school assembly.
More than 1300 students and staff are expected to watch.
Lingard said as well as a performance, he would talk to the students about his experience on the show.
"Hopefully, I can inspire the kids who want to do something similar," he said.
"A lot of kids like music and want pursue it.
"Not everyone has to have an ordinary career."
He said he intended to share his career plans with the students.
"I play music so I can play to people. That's the part I really enjoy," he said.
Lingard said his time since The Voice had been humbling.
"What's important for me is to remind myself that I still have to be a musician," he said.
