The festival announced it's line-up on Thursday morning with more than 100 artists taking part in the four day event.

Wilson has been part of some of Australia's memorable blues acts including Harem Scarem and Paul Kelly and the Coloured Girls.

The multi-instrumentalist is skilled in harmonica, saxophone and guitar and released his last solo album in 2012.

Also taking part in the BBRMF is Hat Fitz & Cara Robinson and the Lachy Doley Group.

Talent show alumni John Lingard (The Voice) and Owen Campbell (Australia's Got Talent) will have sets as will The Continental Blues Party and Green Mohair Suits.

Festival favourites Archer & The Long Gone Daddies, Josh Owen, Carus Thompson, Geoff Achison, Claude Hay and Jojo Smith are among the popular acts to return again.

BBRMF director Colin Thompson said this year's festival was shaping to be the best yet.

“Not only do we have heaps of new acts performing this year but we also have some really exciting new events,” Mr Thompson said.

“I'm really excited for the final of the inaugural Lazenby Young Blues Guitarist Award, where one lucky muso will be taking home a Fender USA Standard Stratocaster in memory of our dear friend Phil Lazenby.

“This will be held at our annual free family concert in the Civic Gardens on Saturday, November 8.

“We also have a number of new venues on board this year, including some special events at Star Cinema, Rocks on Rosalind, Bendigo Bank Theatre and Tap House, details of which we will be releasing very soon."

Mr Thompson said the Blues Tram would also be running all weekend.

The BBRMF was first held in 2011 and is a completely not-for-profit, volunteer-run event.
