Their goal - turn Bendigo into the cycling capital of regional Australia.
You get the impression that's only the start of their plans when they talk of such cycling mega cities as Copenhagen and San Francisco when discussing Bendigo's future.
Good on them.
How fantastic to see a new group of people motivated by a concept to make our city better.
Will they succeed? Who knows. But the community should be mighty happy they are out there working to put this city on the map.

Bendigo has a huge cycling community, so Bike Bendigo has emerged in an environment where they should find instant support.
The challenge before them now is to get even more people riding bikes.
There are many benefits to what Bike Bendigo is trying to achieve.
It would be fantastic to see our city regarded as an even greater cycling centre, building on the success our competitive cyclists have achieved through the years and the fame of events such as the Bendigo Madison.
Getting more people onto bikes can only benefit the city's health situation which as we know hasn't been too flattering in recent times.
Bike Bendigo will officially launch on October 17 in Hargreaves Mall - we wish them well.
