The Braves went down 56-93 to the Sydney-based Norths Bears on Wednesday.
But they were undefeated in their three preliminary pool matches earlier in the week to qualify for the top-12 championship round.
Forward Danielle O’Toole dominated the boards and was the carnival’s leading scorer after the first three matches, with 72 points.
She added another 29 to her tally against the Bears.
Braves team-mate Ruby Barkmeyer was leading the free throws table after the early rounds, on 17.
Bendigo was scheduled to play the Dandenong Rangers gurls at 10.30am on Thursday.
