The event is part of the Subaru National Road Series, with 119 riders set to contest six stages through Tasmania.
Drapac teammates Lachlan Norris and Darren Lapthorne will also contest the titles.
Norris is a former winner of the Tour of Tasmania, he was crowned champion two years ago.
Chris Hamilton will be racing with the Avanti Racing team and Sam Crome in the CharterMason Giant Racing team.
As well as overall race honours, riders will also be competing for the King of the Mountain, Sprint Champion, Most Agressive and Young Rider classifications.
The tour begins on Tuesday with an individual time trial from the Waterworks Reserve in Hobart to the top of Mt Wellington.
The event then enters the Tasmanian wilderness, with a 120km road race from the edges of Lake Pedder to New Norfolk.
From there the riders will receive no respite, with another tough stage the following day from Launceston to Grindewald.
Stages five and six will see the riders head north, as road races from Ulverstone to Penguin and around Burnie, before the Tour finishes with a fast-paced criterium around the streets of Devonport.
Bendigo cyclist Jack Haig was the 2013 champion.
