AS they have criss-crossed the country to watch their sons play AFL, Bendigo's Bryce and Maree Selwood have witnessed the play of Brownlow Medal winner Matt Priddis many times.

The Selwoods spent Monday night watching the vote count unfold, hoping Joel's superb season with Geelong may clinch the medal.
It was not to be for the Cats captain who finished in fifth place on 21 votes.
A year ago Joel Selwood was runner-up to former team-mate and now Gold Coast on-field leader Gary Ablett.
Although he racked up votes in 13 matches, Joel Selwood earned more ones and twos than the best afield three votes.
"Joel still had a great great season," Bryce Selwood shortly after watching Priddis being presented with the Brownlow Medal by Gary Ablett.
"We were hoping that Joel would gain some more threes, but there's so many variables.
"Over the years there have been times when we thought Joel wouldn't get votes, and he did.
"Going into the vote count we (Maree and Bryce) always felt Matt Priddis would be one to watch.
"He had a really consistent year."
A team-mate with Priddis in a lot of the Eagles matches was Bryce and Maree's youngest son, Scott.
"For Matt to win the medal is a fantastic achievement.
"He is extremely fit and really conscientious about recovery.
"He is similar to Joel in many ways, not just in the way he plays, but in his work to prepare and recover from matches.
"Matt's acceptance speech also showed just how humble a guy he is."
Priddis had invited Scott Selwood to head across from the west to be with him at the Brownlow Medal.
"Scott decided to stay at home," said Bryce Selwood.
"They are really good mates. The group on the fishing trip that Matt spoke about to Dampier with Dean Cox included Scott."
In 2015, the Eagles onball brigade will include Priddis, expected to be under more scrutiny because of his medal victory, along with Scott Selwood.
All four Selwood brothers have played AFL.
The eldest of the quartet and twins, Adam and Troy were first to be drafted.
Adam played 187 matches with West Coast and played in the Eagles premiership team in 2006.
Troy played 75 matches with Brisbane and later captained Geelong to a premiership in the Victorian Football League.
Joel is a triple premiership player with Geelong. He is a four-time All-Australian and was selected as captain of the All-Stars for the second year running.
Scott has played 122 matches for West Coast and was the Eagles club champion in 2012.
