The latest offering from comedy duo the Slow Diagonals, the Bowls Club Jazz tour will be held at Bendigo Bowls Club at 8pm.
One half of the Slow Diagonals, Kieran Bullock, said the bowls club show could promise music, mayhem and comedy madness - just not jazz.
"I’ll just jokingly stress it’s not jazz. It’s crazy musical comedy, but it’s not jazz," he said.
Mr Bullock said the pair had been likened to The Flight of The Concords, but were "slightly more mad".
"There’s lots of energy, lots of madness to our show," he said.
He said the idea for the bowls club tour came up while canvassing locations for the Fringe festival and, once decided, there was no turning back.
"The short version is the name Bowls Club Jazz is just a silly name," Mr Bullock said.
"We took it to a New Zealand festival, where people said why aren’t you doing it in bowls clubs?
"The idea of a bowling club tour is so ridiculous and absurd it seemed like the right thing to do."
As well as Bendigo, the Bowls Club Jazz tour will also see the pair perform at bowls clubs in Carrum and Princes Park before two final show's back in Melbourne.
Mr Bullock said he would not be surprised if it was the first Fringe festival gig to be held in Bendigo.
"Has there ever been a Melbourne Fringe show performed in Bendigo? Who knows? Let's assume not, and therefore this will be a history-making performance," he said.
"I know Fringe performers have performed in Bendigo after the festival is over, but not as part of the official festival.
"I’d like to think we’re breaking minor records."
Tickets to Bowls Club Jazz cost $20, or $15 with concession.
