A WEEK after playing in a grand final, three team-mates from Golden Square Junior Football Club will show their boxing prowess at Sunday's Goldfields Cup tournament in Bendigo.
Jye Caldwell, Lachie Johnson and Tully Scanlon are three of many from the Golden Square-based Hit Factory aiming to rack up the jabs and hooks on the card at the All Seasons Hotel.
The talented trio were aiming for kicks, marks and more when they played for the Bulldogs in last Sunday's under-14 division one grand final against Sandhurst Marist Dockers.
Hit Factory trainer and Cup promoter Danniel Burton said the Cup had drawn boxers from near and far.
"There will be great contests across a lot of weight divisions," Burton said of the Victorian Amateur Boxing Association-sanctioned event.
Doors to the boxing classic open at 11.30am. First bout is at noon.
