As a lawyer who has represented many injured workers for over 20 years, I am aware this practice is adopted in Bendigo, as well.
Quite simply, this is wrong.
It is up to the injured worker to decide who will provide medical treatment to them, in the same way that any other person may choose their doctor.
Those making a WorkCover claim need all the support they can get, from their trusted doctor, their union and their lawyer.
