The year 11 student from Bendigo Senior Secondary Colllege will tee off against a top-class field at Northern and Yarra Yarra.
Lynch's build-up to the titles has included time on the fairways, greens and sometimes the bunkers at the Neangar Park course near Eaglehawk.
Highs of his year included teeing off School Sport Victoria at last month's national schools championships in Toowoomba.
"It was a great experience," Lynch said of the team's feat to be runner-up to New South Wales.
Strokeplay determined overall placings each day.
"It's the biggest tournament I have played in so far," said Lynch.
"The 36-hole individual event on day one was then followed by five rounds of matchplay."
Selection for the Victorian team was clinched by scoring 73 to be runner-up on par 72 course at Churchill Park.
Lynch said being in the specialist sports program at BSSC had helped his golf.
He said a major goal on the golfing circuit was to earn selection for the Victorian under-18 team.
"There are a few areas of my game that I have worked at improving," said the Michael Sund-coached golfer.
"Consistency is what every golfer wants to achieve.
"My short game is something I have to keep working at."
The 16-year-old is in his second season of playing in the Bendigo District Golf Association's division one pennant action for Neangar.
It was not so long ago that Lynch first started playing competitive golf and been closely followed by parents Alan and Pam.
"Dad has played golf for a long time. I started swinging a club when I was about six," said the teenager.
"Golf is always challenging, no matter where you play."
Another great challenge for Kurtis Lynch will be representing Bendigo at Melbourne Country Week from September 29 to October 3.
"I was a caddy last year, so to be playing is something I am really looking forward to," he said of teeing off in the BDGA team.
