More than 30 local students from several schools are taking part in the Corset Design competition as part of the Marketplace's Fashion Fortnight Promotion.
The imaginative designs are on display near the food court until September 28.
Bendigo Senior Secondary College student Chelsey Connor said she enjoyed sitting down on her weekends to work on the project was "very pleasurable".
Shoppers are invited to vote for their favourite corset design at the customer service desk. The student with the most popular design with receive a $1000 gift card.
Marketplace marketing manager Dannielle Downs said students had shown real talent.
“I have been blown away by the level of thought and detail given to each corset and the talented young people we have in our community,” Ms Downs said.
Students designed corsets with inspiration coming from clothing designers, films, burlesque, authors and nature.
