AB: Westy, I'm not going to gloat about the fact that I tipped Tim Martin to win the Michelsen Medal and you didn't have him in your top three. That's not my style.

What I will say is that Sandhurst stalwart Danny Ellis told me in the Dragons' rooms on Saturday night that Martin would win the Michelsen Medal again and that he would break the votes record.
Fair to stay that Danny nailed it.
Congratulations to big Marto - a fantastic achievement.
LW: And I won’t gloat that I tipped Marto last year, but like you, that’s not my style either old mate.
Super effort by Marto and it was clear from very early in Sunday's count that he was going back-to-back.
He already had 23 votes by the halfway mark of the count - as many as he won with last year.
Martin is only the third player in the history of the BFL to poll at least 30 votes in the Michelsen.
The other two are Golden Square's Tony Southcombe (33 in 1972) and Rochester's Ray Willett (30 in 1962).
What do Martin, Southcombe and Willett all have in common?
AB: They're all ruckmen.
Doley remembers covering Willett's games when he was in his prime. Super talented apparently.
Marto would swap both his Michelsen medals for a premiership medal and, unfortunately, it doesn't look like he's going to be fit enough to play in this Saturday's grand final.
His ankle injury combined with the shoulder injury to his little mate Nick Stagg couldn't have come at a worse time for the Dragons.
The Storm looked mighty hard to beat before Martin and Stagg's injuries.
The man with the job of inscribing the Bendigo Advertiser Cup can start etching Strathfieldsaye onto the 2014 trophy now.
LW: No doubt Sandhurst is right up against it now with the injury concerns to Martin and Stagg.
We’ve written all season about the blessed run Sandhurst has had with injuries, but the footy Gods aren’t smiling on the club at the right time with Martin and Stagg going down on Saturday night, on top of Joel Wharton’s hamstring injury the previous week and captain Blair Holmes only having played one of the three finals so far.
We spent the past week trying to sell the best we could an LVFL grand final that always had the makings of being a one-sided game, and that's what happened with Bridgewater steamrolling BL-Serpentine by 96 points on Saturday.
Are you suggesting something similar at the QEO this Saturday?
AB: No, it won't be a 16-goal job.
The Dragons showed plenty of fight to get over the top of Gisborne and they'll give their all again on grand final day.
The Dragons will be in the game for two-and-a-half quarters and then the Storm's fresh legs will take over and they'll push out to a six or seven goal win.
Milney to kick his 100th in the last quarter.
LW: I’m not sure what the BFL has in the way of grand final entertainment organised for Saturday.
If they’re still looking, Brodie Filo showed at the Michelsen on Sunday he certainly knows how to entertain a crowd!
On a serious note, I spoke to a few of the coaches who won’t be participating this Saturday out at the Michelsen.
The popular double among them is Strathfieldsaye to win the flag and Stephen Milne to win the Nalder Medal.
And I’m with them.
