An initiative of the Victorian Farmers' Federation, Rural Women Uncovered was a two-day conference that focused on exposing the potential of women in the agriculture industry.
The conference included a social media workshop, health talk, dinner and viewing of Undressed: 350 years of Underwear in Fashion at the Bendigo Art Gallery in View Street.
VFF spokeswoman Lis Blandamer said the event was highly successful and would be replicated next year.
"We had about 70 women attend from right across the state as well as around Bendigo," she said.
Ms Blandamer said women were the "backbone of the farm" and often had to juggle many roles.
"The simple fact is rural women have to be many things - farmers, financial wizards, trade negotiators, marketers and sometimes health care workers," she said.
"That’s why we have structured the Rural Women Uncovered event to help women boost their knowledge and skills across these diverse roles.
"It was all about learning, networking and most of all having a good time."
She said Bendigo was the perfect location for the conference considering "all rural roads lead to Bendigo".
"It's very centrally-located and such a beautiful spot. We'd love to hold it in Bendigo again," she said.
VFF board member Sue Finger said the conference was an opportunity for women to network with others involved in agriculture.
"Not only was it about learning to improve your business but also about looking after your health," she said.
"Some of the topics were very dry but the message was important."
