It was a sad day for Bendigo when the company moved the conference from our city after 10 years because a suitable venue couldn't be found.
Enter the city's new Ulumbarra Theatre.
It's fantastic Bendigo has been able to secure the event above Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Darwin which have all played host in recent years.
The City of Greater Bendigo will be pretty chuffed its new theatre has secured an event the size of this national conference which is expected to see more than 1000 people spend at least three days in the city.
It's important the city now builds on this momentum to ensure the theatre plays a vital role in boosting the economy by drawing people to our city for such events.
