St John of God hospital received a new mammography machine to add to their existing services.
As part of the new additions, they are calling for artists to create an inspiring piece of artwork.
Bendigo Radiology has invested $350,000 in the new technology which is available at the hospital.
Chief mammographer Amanda Richardson said the space needed more colour.
The artwork is needed to update and enhance the area to take patients minds off their illness.
The winner will receive $500 and the artwork will be prominently displayed in the room.
Artists can submit two dimensional artworks reflecting the theme of peace and serenity.
The artworks are to be no larger than 700 millimetres by 500 millimetres.
