HOME town aces Zac Lethlean, Isaac Watson and Brianna Smith played well at this week's Bendigo Platinum AMT tennis classic.

Watson won his first round in qualifying before being overcome by Mike Vaughan 7-6 1-6 6-4. 

In the doubles, Watson and Shepparton's Nick Gattuso  were beaten 6-2 6-0 by top seeds Aaron Leeder-Chard and Daniel Ferretti in the second round.

Watson and Echuca's Erik Holt-Crossman fell to fourth seeds Cody Brackenreg and Daniel Nolan 6-3 6-4 at the Bendigo Bank complex in Nolan Street.
