This season: Round 5: Wedderburn by 12. Round 12: Wedderburn by 26. Round 19: Charlton by 1.
Since 2009: Wedderburn 11; Charlton 5.
THE first spot in the North Central Football League grand final is up for grabs on Saturday when Wedderburn faces Charlton in the second semi-final.
The reigning premier Redbacks and Navy Blues were last season’s grand finalists and have again set the pace, finishing first and second.
The sides have met twice this season, with the ledger 2-1 in favour of Wedderburn.
They last met a fortnight ago when the Navy Blues came from 21 points down at three quarter-time to win by a point following an after-the-siren goal to Joseph McGrath.
Saturday’s winner gets a week off leading into the grand final in a fortnight, while the loser will take on a confident St Arnaud, which crushed Birchip-Watchem by 99 points in the first semi-final last week.
