About 2000 fans lined the main pitch to watch City's stars such as Damien Duff, Patrick Kisnorbo and many exciting prospects shine in the build-up to the A-League season.

Since City's plans to play on Bendigo's turf were announced, many at FC spoke about the incredible opportunity for its players to take on such quality opposition.
FC Bendigo playing coach Steve Martin was confident his squad would put on a fine show.
For Martin and the rest of the coaching panel this match was always going to be a great test.
It was not just FC Bendigo's play which impressed City in this contest.
Melbourne's officials praised the facilities and the quality of the pitch.
Thumbs up to the City of Greater Bendigo grounds staff and all those at FC Bendigo who worked so hard to bring such a big game to the region.
