Warm days heralded today's start to Spring, and many ventured into the outdoors for a range of reasons.
Whether it was a walk in the bush, visit to a park or lake, a bike ride, sports final or a visit to one of our fantastic galleries, cafes or restaurants, there were people out and about everywhere.
Among those were members of Zayden Veal-Whitting's family, who were all smiles as they walked around Lake Weeroona to raise money for a playground in their little boy's memory.
Zayden was killed in his cot on June 15, 2012.
Burglar Harley Hicks was found guilty of Zayden's murder by a Supreme Court jury and sentenced to life imprisonment with a non-parole period of 32 years.
He has sought leave to appeal his sentence.
Zayden's family are trying to find positives - and yesterday's yellow walk in the sunshine gave them many reasons to smile. It was heartening to see so many turn out to support them, and help them reach their goal of building the space Where Angels Play.
