Magpies coach Laura Hurse believes her team has hit form at the right end of the season.
“I am confident,” she said.
“We have really gelled well and we have found our positions.
“It will be a tough game, but we are going to play like we have nothing to lose, we have everything to gain.”
In the final round of the home and away season the Magpies stunned Kyneton, scoring its first win against a top four side this year.
Hurse said her A-grade team will take some confidence out of the win.
She said her team would be fit and firing when they walk on the Queen Elizabeth Oval courts on Saturday night.
“I believe we have bridged the gap between us and the other top four teams,” Hurse said.
“When you look at our first round game against Kyneton compared to the last round, it was a 21-goal turnaround.
“If we go into the game against Golden Square with the same mindset and play good netball across four quarters and be consistent we will go well.”
Golden Square coach Lia Marrone said no team was safe this finals series.
“We know this is going to be a very tough game,” she said.
“Maryborough are a strong side and have really hit form.”
Marrone said she was looking forward to the challenge.
“We have beaten them twice but both games were close and anything can happen in finals,” she said.
“There are a few things that we have worked on all season that we will focus on during finals.
“One skill we have practised is performing under pressure which we will certainly need to apply to our game in finals.
"Our goal is to walk off the court knowing we had put in everything we had."
The elimination final will be played on Saturday at the QEO at 6pm.
Kyneton will also take on Gisborne in the qualifying final on Sunday at 2pm.
