A winner in 42 of 54 bouts, Soliman gave many helpful hints to boxers across a wide range of ages and abilities.
The gym was at capacity for the session.
"To have a boxer of Sam's ability and experience was great for everyone involved," said long-time boxing trainer Frank Pianto.
"Sam gave a lot of tips on various training techniques.
"He showed a lot of what he does in his own training and also spoke about nutrition and lifestyle."
Pianto said a highlight of the workout was on the pads.
"Sam showed lots of different angles you can use in padwork. It was a fantastic seminar," he said of Soliman's first visit to the Academy.
Pianto is also busy promoting the State of Origin boxing tournament to be held on September 13 at Truscott Reserve in California Gully.
Boxers from Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Tasmania will compete in the stadium at the home of Eaglehawk Soccer Club.
The night will include several title fights.
Ringside tables of 10 cost $500. General admission tickets are $25. Phone 0401 306 308 to book.
