The family of murdered Bendigo baby Zayden Veal-Whitting is hoping to have a playground built in his memory.
Zayden was killed in his cot in the early hours of June 15, 2012 when burglar Harley Hicks entered his home and bludgeoned him to death.
Zayden's family wants the community to have a happy space that helps take away the sadness since his death.
The memorial playground, to be called Where Angels Play, will be a happy space allowing the community to remember a happy little boy.
The Newbridge Hotel will host a family day from 11am until 11pm on Saturday August 23 to help fund the playground. Bands will perform and there will be face-painting, laser tag, Harley Davidson rides, a sausage sizzle and spit roast.
A major auction will include a miniature Harley Davidson with 49cc engine and a hand-built railway set.
