The West Australian has been travelling across the country to raise money for cancer.
He left nine months ago from Boyanup, WA.
Mr Retallack arrived in Raywood yesterday and plans to travel to Elmore today, before heading to Shepparton.
Mr Retallack said his family had a long history of cancer.
He said his mother passed away from breast and bone cancer in 2012.
Mr Retallack said another brother was in remission after a long battle.
"It's a terrible thing. It was terrible when my mum died," he said.
Mr Retallack said his mother would be proud.
"She is sitting on my shoulder. She is my angel," he said.
To add to his journey, Mr Retallack is travelling around the country in a horse-drawn western-type wagon.
His company included his dog Russ and horses, Paddy and Matt.
"They are my company," he said.
Mr Retallack said he had raised more than $40,000 for cancer research and said people had been generous.
"I want to raise $1 million but I don't think I will get that much," he said.
"It doesn't matter though, any amount is great."
