The BJFL grand final will be played at the Queen Elizabeth Oval. 

It is the first time in more than 10 years the under-16's final will be played at Bendigo's premier ground. 

The game is scheduled as the curtain raiser to the Bendigo Football Netball League's preliminary final on September 13. 

BJFL executive officer Chris Lloyd said players will get a buzz out of playing on the QEO.

"We have been trying to get this game on the QEO for quite a while," he said. 

"The under-16's are our oldest age group, after they finish they will go on to play in the seniors, so this game is a point of difference.

"It will be something special, something the players will never forget."

All of the other grand finals will be played on one gala grand final day at Strathfieldsaye on September 14.

Finals will be played at two ovals across the one day. 

Lloyd said games staggered throughout the day to allow fans to move between the grounds. 

"Supporters will be able to catch a glimpse of more than one game," he said. 

"We trialed it during the Goldfields Cup earlier this year and it was really positive, we thought it was great to have all the activity in one spot. 

"Family and friends can come a long, it should be a fantastic atmosphere."

Lloyd also said there was also a possibility the under-12D grand final would be played under lights at Harry Trott Oval. 

"We have limitations in terms of how many games we can play on certain grounds," he said. 

"Playing under lights would be a great experience for the under-12's."

Lloyd said overall the BJFL has had a great year, with the amount of clubs and players involved with the league continuing to grow. 

The first week of finals will begin this weekend, with games scheduled at Harry Trott Oval, Dower Park and Backhaus Oval on Sunday.
