Our youth can be far too quickly condemned in this day and age but this group shows there are plenty of young people out there with much to offer our community.
These students set out to a place steeped in Australian history to learn. They returned describing their experience as 'life changing'.
Clearly they learned much on their journey but it's the things they did along the way which should make their family, friends and school most proud.
In a remote village they cut grass, picked sweet potatoes, chopped wood, visited a school and played games with the local children.
The students also pooled money to pay for the hospital treatment of one young boy who had a badly infected leg wound.
What a wonderful attitude and caring nature among this group.
What great ambassadors for Bendigo and Australia for that matter.

It's interesting to note the teachers saw the change in the students from their experience.
No doubt parents too.
Well done all.
