BENDIGO Thunder have ended its inaugural season in the Victorian Women’s Football League premier division with a 180 point loss to the St Kilda Sharks on Saturday afternoon.

The Thunder kicked its highest score of the season against the Sharks.
The team had the most scoring opportunities it has had all season.
The final score was Bendigo 1.5 (11) to St Kilda 30.11 (191) at Kangaroo Flat Recreation Reserve.
The Thunder’s only goal came from Alana Wearne in the final quarter.
For the Sharks, the league’s leading goal kicker, Moana Hope, added another bag of goals to her season’s tally.
Hope booted a massive 17 of the team’s 30 goals.
Team mate Emily Smith also kicked five goals.
Bendigo Thunder’s best were Grace Campbell, Emma Grant, Letisha Stewart, Jessica Blake, Alana McNabb and Lily Campbell.
Bendigo ended the season in seventh place, having lost all of its 11 games in 2014.
The Sharks finished in fourth position on the VWFL ladder and will play in the finals.
