BENDIGO police are appealing for public assistance following two separate attempted burglaries this week.
Senior Constable Jamie Stubbins said a person had attempted to break into the St Vincent de Paul opportunity shop on High Street, Kangaroo Flat sometime between 8pm and 8.30pm on August 14.
He said the offender was disturbed by a neighbouring business owner and fled the scene.
Senior Constable Stubbins said nothing was stolen but the roof of the premises sustained damage.
It is believed the person was a male and was wearing dark clothing.
In a separate incident, a man chased two people through parkland and an adjoining residential area after forcing their way into his shed in Oswald Street, California Gully on Saturday morning.
Senior Constable Stubbins said the man lost sight of the pair before returning to the shed.
He said the incident happened about 3.15am on August 16.
He said nothing was stolen.
It is believed one of the offenders was male. Both were wearing dark clothing.
