The Braves needed to defeat the SEABL south conference leaders to retain any chance of making the play-offs.
However, it wasn’t to be with the Pioneers maintaining their unbeaten record at home this season, winning 89-71.
The Braves cause wasn’t helped by the absence of centre Zach Atkinson and point guard Kevin Probert.
Both players missed the game because of illness.
Dustin Salisbery led the way for the Braves, scoring 24 points and grabbing nine rebounds.
Michael Vigor had 17 points and 10 boards, while veteran Chris Hogan chipped in with 16 points and seven rebounds.
Taylor Bell was promoted to the starting five and he collected 10 rebounds.
