The satisfaction level of business customers of NAB, ANZ, Commonwealth Bank Australia and Westpac reached 66.7 per cent in July an increase of 2.4 per cent points since the same time last year - the highest level since 2010.
Westpac retained top position with 71.4 per cent, placing it ahead of second-placed NAB on 67.1 per cent, ANZ with 65.8 per cent and CBA at 63 per cent.
Roy Morgan Research's Norman Morris said while satisfaction among banks' business customers was at record high levels, it was still below the satisfaction level of that of personal customers.
"The improvement over the last 12 months has been partly a result of improvement in satisfaction in many major product areas and with relationship managers," he said.
"An area still in need of improvement by banks is that they continue to be seen as lacking empathy with their business customers who require more attention and understanding."
While the major four banks recorded a four-year high, market leader Bendigo Bank remains ahead with 82 per cent satisfaction.
