A woman in her late 30s is being assisted by police and ambulance services.
Leading Senior Constable Chad McKenzie said the woman's car had run into the back of a car which was travelling in front.
Her car then came to a stop.
The other car had already departed the scene with minimal damage to its rear when emergency services arrived.
Leading Senior Constable McKenzie said the woman was "very distressed" but was not injured.
